The Vindys live at the Cleveland Sessions: March 22, 2019 (Full Set)

The Vindys, a red-hot rock-and-soul band from Youngstown fronted by singer and guitarist Jackie Popovec performed a sold-out Cleveland Sessions show Friday, March 22, 2019, at the Music Box in Cleveland’s Flats. The Cleveland Sessions is a music discovery series developed by in partnership with the Music Box and oWOW digital radio. It is presented by the LaureLive music festival, which will be held this year the weekend of June 8-9 on Laurel School’s Butler Campus.

The Vindy’s to kick off new “Cleveland Sessions” concert series, presented by LaureLive

The “Cleveland Sessions” has a fresh focus and a new, music-loving partner for 2019. LaureLive, which has established itself as one of Ohio’s premier music festivals, is our new presenter and will help us stage a series of special “Cleveland Sessions” concerts this spring at the Music Box in the Flats and other venues around Greater Cleveland. Up first is The Vindys, a red-hot rock-and-soul outfit from Youngstown fronted by powerhouse singer and guitarist Jackie Popovec. Laurence "Lol" Tolhurst has known Cure frontman Robert Smith since they were 5-year-olds back in England. Though they've had their differences - Tolhurst was booted from the band in 1989 and sued Smith et al over royalties - they've patched up their friendship and will be onstage together when the Cure is inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Friday, March 29.
